Yeast cake with pears and crumble - the perfect recipe for a sweet dessert

Ingredients:
- 500g (17.6oz) wheat flour
- 50g (1.8oz) fresh yeast
- 250ml (8.5fl oz) of milk
- 100g (3.5oz) sugar
- 100g (3.5oz) butter
- 2 eggs
- Pinch of salt
- 4 medium-sized pears
- 50g (1.8oz) sugar
- 200g (7.1oz) wheat flour
- 100g (3.5oz) butter
- 100g (3.5oz) sugar
Instructions:
- We dissolve the yeast in warm milk with the addition of sugar. Leave for 15 minutes for the yeast to 'start'.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, melted butter, eggs and our yeast with milk. Knead the dough until it becomes smooth and elastic. Then cover the bowl and leave in a warm place for about 1-2 hours for the dough to rise.
- Meanwhile, peel the pears, remove the seeds and cut them into thin slices. Mix with sugar and set aside.
- To make the crumble, mix the flour, butter and sugar until you get the consistency of a thick crumble.
- When the dough has risen, roll it out onto a baking sheet. Place pears on it and sprinkle with crumble.
- Bake the cake in an oven preheated to 180°C (356°F) for about 35-40 minutes, until the cake is golden and the crumble is crispy.
