This dessert is a combination of two extremely tasty elements: sand cake and cream cream. Sand cake is a classic cake that is made of flour, eggs, sugar and butter, and its name comes from the characteristic, fragile and fine structure, resembling sand. On the other hand, the cream adds lightness and delicacy to the dessert, creating a perfect complement to the sand cake. The addition of cream makes this traditional dessert even more refined. Cream cream adds not only moisture, but also delicacy, which perfectly contrasts with the crunchy structure of the sand cake.
Ingredients:
- 200g (7oz) butter
- 200g (7oz) sugar
- 4 eggs
- 200g (7oz) wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 200ml (6.7fl oz) 30% cream
- 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Cream the butter with the sugar until fluffy. Then add one egg at a time, continuing to beat.
- Mix the flour with the baking powder and then add it to the butter mixture. Stir everything together until ingredients are combined.
- Transfer the dough to a cake pan, previously greased with butter and sprinkled with breadcrumbs.
- Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C (356°F) for about 40 minutes. After this time, we check with a stick to see if the cake is baked.
- In the meantime, prepare the cream cream. Whip the cream until stiff with powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
- After baking, let the cake cool down and then layer it with cream.
