Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs
  • 200g sugar (7oz)
  • 200g wheat flour (7oz)
  • 200g walnuts (7oz)
  • 125g butter (4.4oz)
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C (356 degrees F). Grease the baking form with butter and sprinkle with flour.
  2. Finely chop the walnuts.
  3. In a bowl, beat the eggs with sugar until fluffy. Add melted butter, stirring all the time.
  4. Add the sifted flour, baking powder and salt. Mix the ingredients gently.
  5. Add chopped walnuts and mix gently.
  6. Transfer the dough to the prepared form and place in the oven. Bake for about 45 minutes, until the cake is golden and a skewer inserted into the cake comes out dry.
  7. Cool the cake before slicing.
