  • 2 slices of smoked bacon
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • 1 onion, sliced into rings
  • 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 100g (3.5oz) of shiitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 100g (3.5oz) of young cabbage, chopped
  • 2 soft-boiled eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of fish sauce (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Toppings: bean sprouts, sliced green onions, sesame seeds
