Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken legs - about 1200 g (42.3 oz)
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil (30ml)
  • 1 tablespoon of mustard e.g. Dijon (15ml)
  • 3 cloves garlic - 15 g (0.5oz)
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce or half a teaspoon of salt (30ml)
  • a teaspoon of sweet pepper (5ml)
  • 1/3 level teaspoon of pepper (1.6ml)
  • additionally: one red pepper or 1/3 each of red, yellow and green peppers - can be omitted

Instructions:

  1. Place the chicken legs in a larger dish. Add the olive oil, mustard, minced garlic, soy sauce (or salt), paprika and pepper. Mix all ingredients thoroughly and rub into the meat.
  2. Cover the dish and let it marinate for at least an hour.
  3. After this time, preheat the oven to 190-200 degrees Celsius.
  4. Place the chicken legs in an ovenproof dish and bake for about 60 minutes. Halfway through the cooking time, baste the meat with the sauce that has formed at the bottom of the dish.
