For example, compared to French crêpes , they are slightly thicker but thinner than American pancakes . What's more, Polish pancakes are usually served with a variety of fillings - from sweet to savory. The traditional recipe for pancakes with cheese is simple and requires only a few basic ingredients that we usually have at home. You don't need any special cooking skills to make them. All you need is a little patience and a willingness to experiment with different ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • 250g (8.8oz) wheat flour
  • 500ml (17fl oz) of milk
  • 2 eggs
  • Pinch of salt
  • 500g (17.6oz) cottage cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanillin

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, add the flour, eggs, salt and slowly pour in the milk, stirring all the time to form a smooth dough.
  2. Heat a non-stick pan and lightly grease it. Spread a portion of the dough thinly in the pan, fry on both sides until golden brown. Repeat with the rest of the dough.
  3. Cottage cheese grind, mix with sugar and vanillin.
  4. Spread a portion of cheese on each pancake, roll the pancake into a roll.
  5. Serve the finished pancakes sprinkled with powdered sugar or with your favorite sauce.
