Ingredients:

  • 800 g (28.2 oz) chicken liver - turkey or chicken
  • 3 medium onions (28.2oz)
  • 2 flat tablespoons of wheat flour (20 g / 0.7oz)
  • 6 tablespoons of cooking oil
  • 1 level teaspoon of salt
  • optional additions: parsley, pepper, sweet paprika, marjoram

Instructions:

  1. Peel and slice onions into thin feathers.
  2. Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the onion and fry over medium heat for about 25 minutes, until it is translucent and browned.
  3. Clean liver of veins and fat. If using turkey liver, cut each piece in half.
  4. Coat each piece of liver in flour and set aside on a separate plate.
  5. Place the floured pieces of liver in a well-heated pan with fat. Fry them on both sides for about one and a half to two minutes, until golden brown.
  6. Put the fried liver into the pan with the browned onion. Season with salt, pepper and add parsley.
  7. Heat together for about 5 minutes to even out the temperature.
