Ingredients:

  • 500g chicken (about 1.1 lb)
  • 500g potatoes (about 1.1 lb)
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 cup 18% cream (about 8.5 fl oz)
  • 200g cheese (about 7 oz)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chives for decoration

Instructions:

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin slices. Also peel the carrot and cut it into slices. Finely chop the onion and garlic.
  2. Wash the chicken, dry it and cut it into small pieces. Fry in a pan with a little oil until golden. Add chopped onion and garlic, fry together for a few minutes.
  3. Put a layer of potatoes in a casserole dish, then a layer of chicken with onions, then a layer of carrots. Salt and pepper each layer to taste. Repeat until we run out of ingredients.
  4. Mix sour cream with grated cheese, season with salt and pepper. Pour the prepared sauce into the dish.
  5. Bake the casserole in an oven preheated to 180 degrees C (350F) for about 40 minutes, until the potatoes are tender and the cheese on top is golden.
  6. Sprinkle the casserole with chopped chives before serving.
