Ingredients:
- 800 g (28.2 oz) chicken liver - preferably chicken
- 400 g (14.1 oz) onions - about 3 smaller ones
- 400 g (14.1 oz) firm apples - about 2 smaller pieces
- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil for frying
- Spices: bay leaf (optional); 1 teaspoon marjoram; 1 tablespoon rosemary leaves; 1 level teaspoon salt; 1/2 level teaspoon pepper
Instructions:
- Clean the liver of veins and fat. If you use chicken liver, you don't need to cut it into smaller pieces.
- Put the pieces of liver in a well-heated pan with fat. Fry them on both sides for about one and a half to two minutes, until lightly browned.
- Prepare the onion. Peel and thinly slice. Add to pan and cook for about 20 minutes until glassy and brown.
- Prepare the apples. Cut them in half along the center of the core. Cut each half into four or more bells. Remove core portions and stems and stalks.
- Add the apples to the pan with the onions. Add a teaspoon of marjoram and rosemary leaves. Continue to cook everything like this for 10 minutes.
