Ingredients:

  • 1 kg pork ribs (35.27oz)
  • 1 large onion
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 5 grains of allspice
  • salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
  • 500ml (16.9 fl oz) of water

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit).
  2. Clean the ribs, rinse and pat dry. Then rub them with salt and pepper.
  3. Peel the onion and garlic and chop into small pieces.
  4. Place the ribs in a roasting pan, add chopped onion, garlic, bay leaves and allspice.
  5. Fill it all up with water.
  6. Cover the pan and put it in the oven. Bake for about 2 hours.
  7. After this time, uncover the roasting pan and bake for about 30 more minutes to thicken the sauce.
  8. The ribs should be soft and juicy, and the sauce thick and aromatic.
