Ingredients:

  • 2 trout, cleaned (about 300g (10.5oz) each)
  • 1 lemon
  • 4 sprigs of fresh dill
  • 4 sprigs of fresh thyme
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil (approx. 30ml)
  • salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit).
  2. Clean the trout, rinse and pat dry.
  3. Peel the garlic and chop finely.
  4. Cut the lemon into thin slices.
  5. Put a few slices of lemon, a sprig of dill and thyme on a piece of aluminum foil. Put the trout on it. Place extra lemon slices, garlic and herbs inside the trout.
  6. Drizzle the fish with olive oil, salt and pepper.
  7. Wrap the foil to form airtight packages.
  8. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes.
  9. Check if the fish is ready - it should be tender and come off the bone easily.
