Ingredients:

  • 500g (1.1 lbs ) of wheat flour
  • 1 egg
  • Approximately 250 ml (8.5 fl oz) of warm water
  • Salt to taste
  • 500g (1.1 lbs ) semi-fat cottage cheese
  • 1 egg
  • Vanilla sugar and sugar to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the dough: Put the flour in a bowl, add the egg, a pinch of salt and slowly add the warm water, stirring all the time. When the dough begins to come together, knead it on the pastry board for about 5 minutes until it is smooth and elastic. Then cover them with a cloth and leave for 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the stuffing: Grind the cottage cheese until smooth, add the egg, vanilla sugar and sugar to taste. Mix everything thoroughly.
  3. Roll out the dough into a thin cake and use a glass or a cookie cutter to cut out circles.
  4. On each circle of dough, put a teaspoon of stuffing, fold the edges of the dough inwards, forming dumplings, and seal them tightly.
  5. Cook dumplings in salted water over medium heat until they float to the surface, then cook for 2-3 more minutes.
  6. Drain dumplings and serve warm with sour cream or butter.
