Ingredients:

  • 1 pack of Sokołów Christmas Ham
  • Juice of one orange - about 100 ml (3.4 fl oz)
  • 1 tablespoon of natural honey, e.g. linden (21g, 0.74 oz)
  • 3 cloves - can be omitted
  • Possible additions: garlic, black pepper, chili pepper, marjoram
  • Sweet decoration: 3 tangerines and a teaspoon of honey (21g, 0.74 oz)

Instructions:

  1. Take the ham out of the fridge and wait an hour for it to warm up.
  2. Set the oven to 100°C. Remove the ham from the package without cutting the foil. Place the ham in the preheated oven for 90 minutes.
  3. After an hour and a half, remove the ham from the oven. Slit open the bag and remove the entire ham. Dry the ham with a paper towel.
  4. Make a citrus marinade. Put the cloves, freshly squeezed orange juice and a spoonful of honey in a small dish. Just bring everything to a boil and mix thoroughly.
  5. Score the skin of the ham with a knife in several places. Place the ham in an ovenproof dish, skin side up. Pour the contents of the seasoning sachet over the ham and rub it into the meat.
  6. Pour some of the honey and orange juice marinade over the ham. Cover the dish with the ham and place it in the oven preheated to 180 degrees. After 20 minutes, remove the lid and increase the baking power to 200 degrees.
  7. Pour the ham with the rest of the sweet marinade and bake for the last 15 minutes until the ham is browned.
  8. Remove the ham from the oven immediately after baking.
