Step by step: How to prepare a delicious omelet with vegetables for breakfast
Omelette with vegetables is an excellent choice for breakfast, which is not only tasty, but also healthy and full of nutritional value. Thanks to its simplicity and versatility, the omelet with vegetables is perfect for any occasion - from everyday breakfast, through brunch at weekend, for a light dinner. The recipe for an omelet with vegetables is extremely simple, and its preparation does not require specialized culinary skills. All you need are a few basic ingredients that we usually have at home to prepare a delicious and filling meal. The vegetable omelet is also a great option for people on a vegetarian diet. In this article, I will describe step by step how to prepare the perfect omelette with vegetables.
Ingredients:
- 3 large eggs
- 1 full tablespoon of wheat flour (about 25 g / 0.88 oz)
- 1 small pepper (about 150 g / 5.3 oz)
- 1 small onion (about 80 g / 2.8 oz)
- A handful of chives
- After a good pinch of salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons clarified butter or cooking oil
Instructions:
- Preheat a small heavy-bottomed pan. Set the burner to medium power and add one tablespoon of cooking oil.
- Peel the onion, chop it and fry it on medium heat for about 5 minutes.
- I clean the small pepper from the core, cut it into small pieces and add it to the pan with the onion. Fry everything for another 5 minutes.
- Add a pinch of salt and pepper and a handful of chopped chives. Stir the vegetables and turn off the burner.
- Separate the yolks from the whites. Beat the whites until stiff, then add the yolks.
- Add the sifted wheat flour to the egg mixture and mix gently.
- Put half a tablespoon of vegetable oil for frying or clarified butter on a hot pan. Spread the fat over the entire surface of the pan, then put half of the omelette foam in the middle.
- Gently spread out the fluffy dough so that it has the same thickness and rounded shape. After a while, also put some of the previously fried vegetables.
- Fry/bake the omelette for about 4-5 minutes, then turn it over. After about 2 minutes, the omelet is ready and can be removed from the pan.
