Ingredients:

  • 200g (7oz) dry chickpeas
  • 2 medium carrots (about 200g/7oz)
  • 2 medium onions (about 170g/6oz)
  • 3 cloves garlic (15g/0.5oz)
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
  • A handful of parsley
  • 2 flat tablespoons of gluten-free breadcrumbs
  • Spices: a level teaspoon of salt; half a level teaspoon of pepper; 1/3 teaspoon of sweet paprika, a generous pinch of cumin
  • A bit of cooking oil

Instructions:

  1. Soak dry chickpeas for 10 hours.
  2. Cook chickpeas for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  3. Chop carrots, onions and garlic, then fry in oil.
  4. Grind the cooked chickpeas and add sautéed vegetables to it.
  5. Add spices and mix thoroughly.
  6. Shape cutlets and coat them in breadcrumbs.
  7. Fry the chops in a pan with some oil.
