Ingredients:

  • 1 kg potatoes (about 2.2 lbs )
  • 1 large onion (about 150g / 5.3oz)
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tablespoons of wheat flour (about 60g / 2.1oz)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Frying oil

Instructions:

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into smaller pieces. Boil them in salted water until they are soft.
  2. Peel the onion and chop into a fine dice.
  3. Drain and cool the cooked potatoes. Then we squeeze them through a potato press or grate them on a large-mesh grater.
  4. Add the chopped onion, eggs, flour, salt and pepper to the grated potatoes. Stir until the ingredients combine.
  5. Form cutlets with a diameter of about 8 cm from the prepared mass.
  6. Heat the oil in the pan. Fry the cutlets over medium heat, on both sides, until golden and crispy.
