Ingredients:

  • 1kg (35oz) potatoes
  • 300g (10.5oz) fresh spinach
  • 200g (7oz) cheese
  • 2 onions
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 200ml (6.8 fl oz) cream 18%
  • 3 tbsp (1.5 fl oz) butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Peel the potatoes and boil them in salted water. After cooking, cool and cut into slices.
  2. Peel the onion and garlic, then finely chop. Wash and dry the spinach.
  3. Heat the butter in a pan, add the chopped onion and garlic, fry until the onion becomes glassy. Add spinach and fry until wilted. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C (356 degrees F). In a casserole, put a layer of potatoes, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and then put a layer of spinach and onions. Repeat until you run out of ingredients, ending with a layer of potatoes.
  5. Spread the cream evenly over the casserole, then sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes until the cheese is melted and browned.
