Ingredients:

  • 1kg (35.3oz) potatoes
  • 500g (17.6oz) minced meat (beef or mixed)
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 150g (5.3oz) cottage cheese
  • 2 tablespoons (1.06oz) of vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Peel the potatoes, cut into slices and cook al dente in salted water. Drain after cooking.
  2. In the meantime, heat oil in a pan, add finely chopped onion and garlic, fry until glassy.
  3. Add the minced meat to the onion and garlic, fry until the meat is well done. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  4. In a roasting pan, layer: half of the potatoes, minced meat, then the rest of the potatoes. Sprinkle each layer with crumbled cheese.
  5. Place the casserole in an oven preheated to 180°C (356°F) and bake for about 30 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden.
