Ingredients:

  • 2 large cauliflowers
  • 4 tablespoons of your favorite olive oil (about 60 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon of liquid honey (about 21 g)
  • Spices: 1 level spoon of sweet paprika; half a level teaspoon each of salt, cumin and coriander; 1/3 level teaspoon each of hot pepper, pepper and garlic
  • To serve: red currants or pomegranates; coriander or parsley; any sesame

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the cauliflowers: cut off the side leaves and the core extending beyond the florets. Wash the cauliflowers thoroughly and dry them with a paper towel.
  2. Cut the cauliflowers in half through the center of each core. Use a sharp, larger knife so you don't break the cauliflowers.
  3. Lay each half as in the picture below (bottom to board), then cut a fairly even "slice/steak" about 2-2.5 cm wide.
  4. Brush the cauliflower slices with liquid honey and oil or olive oil (on both sides). You can use more fat if needed.
  5. Make a spice mix and coat the steaks with it.
  6. Place the steaks on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 30-35 minutes.
