- 500g wheat flour (17.6oz)
- 25g fresh yeast (0.88oz)
- 120g sugar (4.2oz)
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 250ml milk (8.45 fl oz)
- 75g butter (2.6oz)
- 2 eggs
- 500g cherries (17.6oz)
- Peel of 1 lemon
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 200g flour (7oz)
- 120g sugar (4.2oz)
- 100g butter (3.5oz)
- Dissolve the yeast in the warm milk and add a teaspoon of sugar, leave for 15 minutes to activate the yeast.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, lemon zest, and vanilla extract.
- Add yeast mixture, eggs and melted but not hot butter to the flour. Knead everything together thoroughly.
- Cover the finished dough and leave it in a warm place for 1-2 hours to double its volume.
- Wash the cherries, remove the seeds and set aside.
- Prepare the crumble by mixing all the ingredients together.
- Pour the risen dough into a greased and floured form, put the cherries and sprinkle with crumble.
- Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees C (356 degrees F) for about 40-50 minutes.
