- 500g of meat (e.g. pork, chicken or lamb)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, pressed
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 lemon, squeezed juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4-6 vegetables (e.g. tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions)
- Make the marinade by mixing the olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, thyme, lemon juice, salt and pepper in a bowl.
- Cut the meat into pieces about 2-3 cm thick.
- Put the meat in the marinade bowl and mix thoroughly so that each piece is well coated.
- Refrigerate the meat for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, so that the marinade can absorb well.
- After the marinating time is up, thread the pieces of meat onto skewers.
- Grill skewers on a hot grill for about 10-15 minutes, turning frequently, until well done.
- Serve with your favorite vegetables and tzatziki sauce.
