- 500g (17.6oz) chicken liver
- 500g (17.6oz) pork (e.g. shoulder)
- 2 onions
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 3 eggs
- 200g (7oz) breadcrumbs
- 200ml (6.8 fl oz) milk
- salt, pepper to taste
- spoon of marjoram
- tablespoon of butter to grease the mold
- a few bay leaves and allspice grains to put on top of the pâté
- Wash the meat and chicken liver, cut into smaller pieces and grind.
- Peel the onion and garlic, finely chop and fry in a pan until golden .
- Soak breadcrumbs in milk.
- Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl: meat, liver, fried onion with garlic, soaked breadcrumbs, eggs, salt, pepper and marjoram.
- Grease the baking form with butter, and then put the meat mixture into it. Arrange bay leaves and allspice on top.
- Put the mold in the oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit) and bake the pâté for about 90 minutes.
