- 500g (1.1 lbs ) of wheat flour
- 1 egg
- Approximately 250 ml (8.5 fl oz) of warm water
- Salt to taste
- 500g (1.1 lbs ) semi-fat cottage cheese
- 1 egg
- Vanilla sugar and sugar to taste
- Prepare the dough: Put the flour in a bowl, add the egg, a pinch of salt and slowly add the warm water, stirring all the time. When the dough begins to come together, knead it on the pastry board for about 5 minutes until it is smooth and elastic. Then cover them with a cloth and leave for 30 minutes.
- Prepare the stuffing: Grind the cottage cheese until smooth, add the egg, vanilla sugar and sugar to taste. Mix everything thoroughly.
- Roll out the dough into a thin cake and use a glass or a cookie cutter to cut out circles.
- On each circle of dough, put a teaspoon of stuffing, fold the edges of the dough inwards, forming dumplings, and seal them tightly.
- Cook dumplings in salted water over medium heat until they float to the surface, then cook for 2-3 more minutes.
- Drain dumplings and serve warm with sour cream or butter.
