- 4 medium pears
- 200g (7oz) wheat flour
- 150g (5.3oz) sugar
- 100g (3.5oz) walnuts
- 100g (3.5oz) butter
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- Preheat oven to 180°C (356°F). Grease and line a baking tin with a diameter of about 22 cm.
- Cut the pears into thin slices. Finely chop the walnuts.
- In a bowl, mix butter with sugar until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing all the time.
- In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder and cinnamon. Then add to the egg mixture, mixing until combined.
- Add the chopped nuts to the dough and mix well.
- Pour the dough into the prepared form, put pear slices on top.
- Bake the cake in the oven for about 40-50 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean. After baking, leave the cake to cool.
