- 300g (10.5 oz) wheat flour
- 150g (5.3 oz) sugar
- 200g (7 oz) butter
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 4 medium apples
- 100g (3.5 oz) almonds
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- Prepare the dough. Combine the flour, sugar and baking powder in a bowl. Add the butter cut into small pieces and knead the dough. Add the egg and knead until the ingredients come together. Wrap the dough in cling film and put it in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
- In the meantime, prepare the filling. Peel the apples, remove the cores and cut into small pieces. Combine sliced apples, sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Remove the dough from the refrigerator, roll it out to a thickness of about 0.5 cm and line the baking tin with it. Arrange the apples on the dough and sprinkle the almonds on top.
- Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C (356°F) for about 45 minutes, until the pastry is golden and the apples are soft.
